Eligibility Criteria


Who can Apply:

  • Nationality: Indian Citizen, or subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan Refugee (before 1962) or person of Indian origin from specific countries (with a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India).
  • Age: Minimum 20 years, Maximum 28 years (General/EWS) on the advertisement date. Relaxation for reserved categories (see below).
  • Education: Graduate degree from a recognized university (completed after March 31, 2020).

Relaxation in Age Limit:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 years additional
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC - Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years additional
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years additional
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years additional
  • Widows, divorced, or legally separated women: Up to 35 years (General/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST)

Important Notes:

  • OBC candidates need a valid certificate with a "Non-Creamy Layer" clause.
  • Relaxation categories are not cumulative (you can only use one besides PwBD).
  • Proof of category (caste, disability) required during the selection process.
  • Reservation for PwBD applies as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016.
